14 - MEMORY LOSS,
Most of the people I interact with on a Daily Basis understandably are my age meaning elderly Senior Citizens.
Often some of them send the same Good Morning Message twice or say something that means nothing to me and I return it with ???? and they say Sorry it was meant for someone else.
Every one wants to accept it that they are getting old and assume memory loss as a consequence of ageing.
Yes and No in My Opinion.
Brain cells that are dead cannot be revived yet there are many things Seniors can do to stop further deterioration of the brain consequential loss of memory.
The Brain is the Main Control Centre for the Human Body. No disputing that. If You think the Heart is the Boss You are wrong.
The Human Heart is just a PUMP to maintain Blood Circulation.
Basically :
- The Brain Cells need Oxygen and Sugar to Survive
- The Blood delivers Oxygen and Sugar to the Brain cells
- The Blood Plasma which is the liquid portion of the blood acts as a carrier for blood cells, nutrients, enzymes, and hormones.
- Plasma is 90 percent water and makes up more than half of total blood volume.
- A person weighing say 80Kgs has approximately 8 litres of blood (weighing say 8Kgs approximately)
- Not only that 60% of the Body weight is made up of bodily Fluids excluding BLOOD
- Not many want to understand and accept the need for Drinking water to prevent DEHYDRATION of the bodily fluids including blood
- Coffee, Tea and Alcohol are all Dehydrants.
- Any one arguing I drink a lot of tea or coffee to keep themselves hydrated are kidding themselves
- Alcohol is the worst dehydrant
- Why do people who get drunk at night at a Party suffer a heinous HEAD ACHE which they say is HANGOVER ?. The person gets so dehydrated that the Blood gets much thicker and is too thick to pass through the very fine capillaries to be absorbed by the brain cells when sleeping.
- The Hang over head ache is nothing but brain cells screaming for Oxygen which they are temporarily deprived off
- A life time of Dehydration and Hang Overs means we are killing off our Brain cells for good leading to MEMORY LOSS
- Then we have others who will not drink water at all especially at nights as they have to get up in the middle of the night to pee.
- What people need to understand is that constant dehydration means the blood is thicker and the heart needs to pump harder to make the blood flow thus raising the blood pressure.
- The heart is only a pump and taking instructions from the brain saying "I am not getting enough blood to this part of the body" and the pump kicks in and raises the Blood Pressure.
- But then not all arteries and capillaries can withstand such increased pressure and rupture and leak
- Blood oozes out of the capillaries and the brain cells absorb the oxygen and sugar. But when a bleed occurs also known as a haemorrhage the Brain cells DROWN in the BLOOD Pool and Die
- Most People suffer STROKES early in the Mornings
- A ruptured artery in the Brain Bleeds blood filling up all the cavities
- When you wake up Don't just jump out of bed straightaway as you can feel dizzy and collapse and most people collapse in the toilets or bathroom often a small confined space and that means your head HITS the wall and you suffer a skull fracture and bleed or even a bad concussion and guess what if you become unconscious inside a locked Bathroom You are Kaput.
- This Happened to my 85 year Old Aunty Daphne next door. wonderful lady.I Saw her on a Wednesday after noon had a chit chat. Aunty Daph was such a nice neighbour that every time I brought home some Take away Chinese I bought Steamed Prawn Gowgee and Crab and Sweet Corn soup for her
- Her sister was not able to get any response from Daph on Thursday night and they found her dead on Friday Morning. I was the first to be told and I was shattered.
- I had installed a wireless alarm which she had by her bedside and all she had to do was press the emergency button on the remote for the bell to ring in my house. Sadly she did not have the remote on her when she went to the toilet and we lost a Dear Friend despite taking some precautions
- BUT then Aunty Daph had a MEGA PROBLEM. She would not drink water.
- PREVENT BRAIN CELL DEATH FROM DEHYDRATION IS THE MANTRA
- It is better to Pee more often than be dead and not Pee at all
