05 - BODY & SOUL,

Body is the physical structure made of flesh, bones, and blood. Soul is the spiritual part of a human being.

Remember reading as a Kid, Vikramaditya Stories where some sages had the talent of migrating from one body to another. Like the sage going into a trance and leaving his Body temporarily and migrating into a Birds Body. As a Child I was told that this was a myth.

At age 74, I wonder if it was a Myth at all or a Fact that most humans cannot comprehend or accept.

Hindus believe in Reincarnation and Hinduism to me is Not a Religion of Doctrines but a Way of Life.

Other Religions like Christianity and Islam don't endorse Reincarnation.

My belief at age 74 is that Religion is Man Made and a Path to a Destination to Reach God, a Means to an End and a Pyramid structure of self appointed People at the Top of the Pyramid Preaching and Controlling the Ignorant Masses.

I believe in God but do not need Middle men to connect me with my God. It is between Me and my God and no one else's business.

I see God all Around me in the magnificence of Nature, in the Flowers and fruits of Nature the trees and the forests, the Birds, the Bees and the Beasts and in Fellow Humans

Like every one I too was all about living a life, setting goals and striving to achieve my goals in life. 

As a man the goal was more about providing a nest for the family and putting food on the table and educating the children and keeping every one in the immediate family safe and healthy. 

At this stage of my life the Idea of a Soul did not surface at all, until I faced near death on 13th April 2000.

I was having a stroke early in the morning. I woke up, was half paralysed and was just alert enough to phone emergency asking for an ambulance. The ambulance ride to the hospital seemed to take for ever as I wanted to receive medical help as quickly as possible and Paramedic tried to keep me awake and alert. Absolute God Sends.

In ER I was fading in and out vaguely understanding what was happening.

Next thing I knew, I was on an MRI Machine, first time in my life and passed out.

As the MRI machine was spinning and my body was fed slowly for scanning, I was there outside my body watching my body moving slowly into the machine

Then I saw a Bright light at the end of the tunnel like most people with near death experiences have seen.

And there I was telling God. It is not fair that he takes me Now. Mithu and Anand Need me. Please give me ten more Years God and you can Take me. My wish was granted and 21years later I am still here.

That Outside the Body experience made me realise that our bodies are just temporary abodes for our Souls

In the last 20 years I have had a dozen MRIs and never saw the Bright light again.

The Bright light is seen only when the Soul leaves the Body.

Received this fascinating video from my friend Shamim in Aukland reemphasising

the Concept of Body and Soul further.

Gabriella Brunel started studying Sanskrit at age 5 and furthered her studies in Sanskrit in Oxford and India. I have been following her for a while. I’ve learnt a few songs and hymns and finish off my yoga classes with these. My students seem to enjoy them too. But since lockdown 4 and 3 which has gone on for nearly 4 months I have not taught yoga. Sanskrit chants and hymns just like the Arabic recitation is calming. It is said that when you hum or sing it brings you to a higher frequency of vibrations.

My Message to Shamim as Follows 21 Nov 2021:-

"Wow what a Beautiful Gift to receive in the morning. Like Latin Sanskrit is a Language forgotten. Had an Indian Hindu woman sung this it would have been just another video due to Our Human Prejudices; but a Westerner singing it beautifully and the simple and clear English Translation explains the story of the Human Body (made up of five elements) and the Eternal Soul. Shamim I owe you one for sharing this. Will find a place in my "Die Empty Blog". Thank You and have a great day. Cheers

Probably the first time some one has attempted a scientific explanation for the blissful experience of reciting mantras and on visiting temples.
